Here is a very simple oil-free hummus recipe! It’s easy, fast and delicious. After you watch this video, you won’t need to buy over-priced hummus that has added oil.
You can use canned chickpeas just fine, although I prefer to use dry chickpeas and boil them myself. They become very tender and the hummus is creamier. I sort them, soak them for 6-8 hours and then boil them for about 2 hours.
You can add flavor and color to your hummus by adding roasted red pepper, spinach, or kale. You can also spice it up by adding hot sauce before serving.
